My name is Lynne Cole, a fully qualified and licensed therapist offering counselling for anxiety in Wakefield. I have decades of experience in helping people with anxiety. Below are just some of the qualifications that enable me to safely and effectively use therapy and counselling to help with anxiety;

What Is Anxiety?

Let’s start with the basics. Anxiety is a feeling that most people experience from time to time. A little bit of anxiety or stress can be healthy. This is our body’s response to situations that are perceived as dangerous. It can present itself in apprehension, nervousness, fear and worrying. The symptoms of anxiety are a natural human response when perceived to be under threat (a fight, flight or freeze response).

It can cause people to experience a range of physical symptomsAnxiety is an uncomfortable feeling you have when thinking about something that is currently happening (or something that may happen) in the future.

Often, anxiety happens when you’re thinking about “what ifs” or focusing on what could go wrong. We can call it a “physical emotion.” There are many different emotional and physical symptoms including feeling scared, worried, nervous, and even sweating, trembling and hyperventilating.

If you’re looking for anxiety therapy in Wakefield, I’m here to help.

No Obligation Counselling Consultation

It’s very important that you feel comfortable and relaxed with your therapist and that is why I offer all new clients a free no-obligation telephone consultation.

I find that most of my clients are very keen to get started right away. If, however, you are not sure whether you wish to proceed at this point, then you are of course under no obligation to continue.

About Lynne

In my practice I support people who feel a wide range of emotions: fear, sadness, doubt, overwhelmed, trapped by self-criticism, negative perceptions and or disruptive patterns.
